Position Summary

This position will assist in maintaining account balances, verify financial records and transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversight of general ledger, including areas that are more complex or technical in nature

  • Timely closing of monthly financials

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts

  • Review and analyze general ledger accounts for discrepancies and other issues

  • Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. GAAP / SOX / SEC)

  • Assist with the coordination of various audit procedures in relation to the following: financial statement, tax, bank, and customer audits

  • Documentation of all accounting processes and periodic review of business process to ensure maximum efficiency and best practice

  • Assist with fixed asset management and tracking

  • Train, supervise, mentor staff accountants

  • Participate in relevant company initiatives and goals (e.g., implementation of new ERP system)

Education, Experience, and Training

  • 4 year degree required, preferably in accounting or finance; CPA preferred

  • 3+ years’ accounting experience

  • Experience working with various accounting software

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, specifically Excel

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, organization

  • Critical thinking, analysis, and problem solving

  • Proficient Knowledge of AP & AR processes

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and foster strong cross-functional relationships

Physical Demands

  • Required to sit for long periods of time

  • Infrequent light physical effort required

  • Requires to frequently type and use computer and other office equipment such as copier, printer, calendar, telephone, etc.
