The Senior Analyst, Compensation and Benefits will be responsible for supporting the Director, Compensation and Benefits through the administration of Total Rewards programs in the US to ensure they are delivered in accordance with plan documents, regulatory requirements, internal process documents, and policies. Applies advanced knowledge of compensation and benefits techniques, theories, methods, processes and practices. Highly analytical and collaborates effectively with external vendors and all levels of the internal organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides advice to employees on Total Rewards policies, practices, programs and guidelines and identifies, researches and resolves complex matters. Will lead or assist all current C&B programs such as open enrollment, benefit fairs, wellness events, new hire orientation, annual merit, quarterly STI, structure development, job evaluation, survey completion and other similar programs.

  • Manages and monitors operation and configuration of HRIS system (Workday) as it relates to compensation and benefits administration. Will manage the exchange of information with carriers and external brokers for claim and utilization data, enrollment information and invoice review. Ensures ongoing accuracy, integrity and completeness of data and processes in the system.

  • Monitors and ensures timely completion of audit, compliance and reporting activities related to US benefit plans including regulatory filings and updates, notices, ACA mandates & reporting, and plan audits, as required. Remains up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices, making recommendations to management for change.

  • Researches and analyzes data and trends to make informed recommendations regarding the company's compensation and benefits programs. Assists with dashboard creation, maintenance and updates. Prepares and delivers concise reports to senior management regarding the effectiveness of compensation and benefit programs and recommendations for improvement.

  • Reviews and assesses efficiency of internal procedures and processes; documents processes; recommends appropriate changes to support automation and continuous improvement.

  • Delivers training and ongoing guidance, effectively promoting C&B programs and initiatives to HR, management and employees.

  • Works collaboratively with HR, IT and Accounting to recommend solutions to resolve C&B issues and serves as an ongoing resource to the entire organization on C&B inquiries and issues.

Education, Experience, & Training

  • Bachelor's Degree, Professional certification such as SHRM, CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) or CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation preferred.

  • 5+ years’ experience with US health and welfare and retirement benefit programs and administration.

  • Excellent technology skills with Workday experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with management, peers, and other business units, as well as external vendors. Maintains confidentiality and accuracy while performing duties.

  • Strong knowledge of benefit plan design and implementation, with experience administering medical, dental, vision, life insurance, COBRA, disability, and retirement plans.

  • Experience with benefits plan compliance, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other applicable laws and regulations.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use and communicate data to make informed decisions.

  • Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compensation and benefit information with employees at all levels.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
