Position Summary
As the Financial Analyst, you will be a key part of a team responsible for overseeing the financial resources, financial planning, strategic decision-making, and treasury operations within Kodiak. Your role will involve maintaining the 5-year strategic planning model, assisting in identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities, preparing board and investor presentation materials, and ensuring the effective management of the company's cash flow and financial resources. This role will provide significant exposure to the executive management team and be a wonderful career stepping-stone to a variety of follow-on roles within Kodiak and industry.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Planning:
Maintain the 5-year strategic planning model.
Collaborate with various departments to create and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial targets.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Corporate Development:
Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic partnerships to support Kodiak's growth objectives.
Construct financial models in support of M&A activities.
Perform due diligence on potential targets and assess their financial health, market position, and synergy with Kodiak's goals.
Prepare business cases and financial justifications for potential investment opportunities.
Play a significant role in the planning for and execution of post-acquisition integration
Treasury Management:
Manage Kodiak's cash flow, including overseeing cash balances, investments, and liquidity needs.
Develop and implement cash management strategies to optimize working capital and minimize financial risks.
Manage Kodiak’s 13-week and 52-week cash flow models.
Capital Structure and Financing:
Assist in determining the company's capital structure, including the mix of equity, debt, and other financing options.
Assist in raising debt, equity or other capital when required
Ad-Hoc Financial Analyses and Special Projects:
Prepare and present financial reports, analysis, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
Support investor relations efforts with analyses and presentations.
Develop and prepare board and management team presentations.
Education, Experience, & Training
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or related analytical field
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills.
Proficiency in financial and presentation software and tools.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong project management background with a proven ability to prioritize work and achieve stated deadlines
